I feel like Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls

For those of you who have never seen Mean Girls...Lindsay Lohan is the new kid in school, has no friends, and has to eat lunch alone in the bathroom. That would be me here at Deree...the good news is I only feel like this in 1 of my classes.

So far I really enjoy the classes I have here. Maybe it's because in everyone of them I have a fellow American to avoid the awkward stares with. It's the little things in life that you find comfort in :) The one class I absolutely have to take here in order to graduate in June is Marketing Research and is going to be hell for the next 14 weeks.

First of all as if my blond hair and blue eyes didn't make me stick out already the fact that I actually carry a bookpack to class only clarifies the assumption that I am truly an American. My marketing teacher speaks 'Greek English' which in short means you actually think she is speaking Greek only to strain and realize..nope that's English. Great! My first day of class was yesterday and I found myself sitting alone and being scrutinized by beady Greek eyes as if my bookpack I came with was some sort of dead carcass. WAIT.. class gets better we have a semester long group project. For those of you not here to experience Greek-American interactions... it's non-existent. No one wants to work with an American. Fantastic.

Deep breath - this was only the first day of class... optimistically speaking hopefully we will only go up from here!
